THE EDITOR DOES NOT WORK

The Editor does have some issues with AOLís browser. Can you work in Internet Explorer or Foxfire's browser?

Q. I'm trying to upload my pictures and it is not working.
A. Currently my editor does not upload pictures from mobile devices. (COMING SOON!) Some computer have trouble with memory intensive operations. You are probably trying to create a template that has many pictures and your pictures are high resolution. I sugguest trying to upload your picture 1 or 2 at a time. Once they are loaded they will stay in your image gallery. Make sure to create an account! If that still isn't working, try reducing the size of your pictures to be closer to the size needed in the template.

Q. When I hit update my screen goes blank.
A. Make sure you have cookies enabled on your computer. (problem on AOL's browser)


I CAN'T FIND MY DESIGN / NO JPG LINK

Q. I can't find my design that I created.
A. Make sure to login into your account when you create your design. When you are logged in your email address will appear in BOLD at the top right of your screen. This way the system will remember when you return. My website does place a cookie on your computer so it tries to remember you if you don't sign in. If this cookie is deleted from your computer I'm afraid it will not find your design. Or it would not locate your design if you visit my site from another computer. Always log in when you are working!

Q. I have made payment, but I do not have a link to my JPG.
A. The JPG link is activated when Paypal sends confirmation that the payment is successful...usually this is automatic, but sometimes Paypal is slow in their delivery and can take as long as an hour....keep checking. Email me if it still doesn't show up in an hour and I can email the file to you.

Q. Do I have to pay at the store to pick up my prints?
A. I pay online. The balance is $0 when you pick up your order. Some store don't offer online payment. This amount will automatically be refunded back to you.

Q. Can I pay for my order at the store?
A. No, you must pay online.

Q.I entered the store's address as the delivery address, but the PayPal receipt shows my billing address.
A. Your order will be delivered to the address that you entered on the order page, NOT the address listed on your PayPal receipt (which automatically defaults to your billing address). If you entered the store's address on the ordering page, that is where your order will be delivered. Pickup information will be emailed.

HELP WITH TEXT

Q. Do I have to use the wording from the sample?
A. No! You can choose any wording that you like.

Q. Can I move the text?
A. You can not move the text. You can insert blank lines at the top using the "ENTER" on your keyboard. This will move the text down as far as the template will allow. Make sure you don't have any "RETURNS" at the end of the line, this will make the text move up. You can also insert spaces to move the text left and right.

Q.I don't want to use a picture, can the text be centered better?
A. You are not able to recenter the text yourself. After payment, email me at info@uprintinvitations.com and I can recenter your text to make it look more balanced and email a new jpg to you. No redesign fee is charged for this service.

Q. How can I make the text bigger?
A.The text size adjusts and becomes smaller when you have a lot of wording. Make sure you don't have any extra carriage returns ("enter" on your keyboard) at the end or in the middle of your information. These returns will make the text smaller.

Q. I have NOT paid and I want to change the wording on my party piece. Will the editor let me do that?
A. Yes. Click the Re-order button and this will take you back to the editor.

Q. I have already paid and I want to change the wording on my party piece. Will the editor let me do that?

Q. Do I have to use a picture?
A. NO! Do not browse your computer to locate a picture. If you have inserted a picture, click to select the "BLANK" circle and hit the "Update" button to remove your photo. I will send you a new JPG with the text moved around to make the card look more balanced.

Q. How can I center my picture better?
A. When you insert your picture it centers the picture in the space shown. If you crop your picture you can get it positioned the way you like. You can use the Crop Tool in the editor. See Below picture for it's location.

Q. I want my picture to be a close up shot?
A. When you insert your picture it centers the picture in the space prvided. If you crop the area off around your child, then they will appear larger in the provided space. You can use the crop tool in the editor. See Below picture for it's location.

Q. My picture is rotated. Will the editor fix it automatically?
A. NO. You can use the Rotate Tool in the editor. See Below picture for it's location.

Q. I'm trying to upload a PDF picture, but it is not working.
A. Sorry my editor does not support PDF formats. If you don't have another picture type to upload, after purchase email the PDF to me and I'll insert it for you.

Q. I love Black and White Photos. Can my pictures be changed on your website?
A. Currently this is not an option. Check your computer for any photo enhancing software that might be loaded or that comes with the purchase of a printer or digital camera. Also check the internet for websites that offer this service for free.

Q. I have already paid and I want to change the picture on my party piece. Will the editor let me do that?

Q. I can't find my design that I created.

Steps on how to save the JPG file to your computer.
1. After clicking the Jpeg link you will see an enlarged image of your file.
2. Place your mouse cursor over the image and RIGHT mouse click. (do not copy the image with SAMPLE written on it)
3. Select "Save Picture As..."
4. Notice where you are saving your printable file and note the file name. You can rename the JPG file if you like.
MAC USERS -
1. Drag the picture off the page onto the desktop. or
2. Hold down the mouse button for about 1 full second and a menu should pop up asking you for a menu. Or
3. Hold down control and click the mouse.

Your Temporary Internet pages cache is full.

POSSIBLE WORKAROUNDS (works for some not all)

1. Click on the Start menu at the bottom left of your screen. Select ALL PROGRAMS Select Disk Clean Up follow the prompts to remove trash from your computer.

2. Delete the temporary internet files by selecting Tools, Options, General tab and select the Delete Files button. Restart your computer.

3. You may need to give friends or family access to your account and let them save it for you.

Here are a couple other things to that might work:
Try going in and out of your account a couple times click the JPG link each time and see if it saves as a JPG.

Some people when they RIGHT mouse click on the image one of the options is to email the file ÖÖtry emailing it to yourself you can save the JPG file from the email message.

Print on photo paper or cardstock. If you choose to print onto photo paper, these invitations look great if you mount them on slightly larger colored card stock. You can even layer a couple different colors. Use double sided tape or a quality glue stick.

How to print the JPG file:

1. Click the printable Jpeg link, and save to your computer using the above directions.

2. Right mouse click on the START icon in the bottom left of your screen. Select Explore. Find the drive were you saved the JPG file. Make sure you see the file name that you just saved.

3. Double click on the file name. We'll see what default application opens your JPG file. Are you viewing it completely on screen? Try printing.

If you can't view it completely on screen it will probably print at its actual high resolution size and not the formatted print size.


FILE PRINT SIZE IS NOT CORRECT:

Some applications manipulate the file size and quality for viewing on screen and if you save this way the original formatting might be lost. Download the file again if you are not sure if you saved or not.

Do not open the printable file in any application and save. Quality and size information might be lost. Do not resave file in any application after copying to your hard drive. Make sure to make backups of the original file encase of errors. I only keep the files until your party is over.

Are you printing from your internet browser, or Microsoft's picture and fax viewer? You can not print from these applications. They view the printable file at its high resolution size and not the formatted print size.

Some software applications that you use to view the picture can manipulate the image size. Especially camera software. If you are viewing the JPG file using your camera software make sure what size it is forcing the picture to print at. Check the setup options.

If the above doesn't work, open another application such as Microsoft Word or a drawing package that you have loaded on your computer. If you open Microsoft Word. Select INSERT - PICTURE - FROM FILE - browse out and find were you saved the JPG. Make sure your margins are set to be full page.


PRINT QUALITY IS BLURRY

Sounds like you didnít print a high resolution jpg. Did you open it and save it in another application? This might change the resolution/size. Or if you email the jpg that email application might change the size for sending. The jpg when saved correctly will print exactly like it views onscreen in your account.

DOUBLE CHECK FORMATTED PRINT SIZE

On a windows computer

Click the START icon at the bottom left of your screen

Select ALL PROGRAMS

Select ACCESSORIES

Select PAINT

This will open a Windows drawing package. 

On the menu select IMAGE

Select ATTRIBUTES

This will show you the formatted print size.

FYI you can not print from this application.  You are not viewing the entire image and it will print just like it views (high resolution actual size, not the print size.)


How to put a JPG file onto a floppy disk, CD, Camera Disk or Memory stick:

1.  Put your digital media into your computer drive (i.e. floppy, CD, camera disk or memory stick).

2.  Click the link in this email to access your printable file.

3.  Select the SAVE button (Not OPEN)

4.  In the dialog box browse out to find your disk drive were your media is held.  (You can rename the file if you like.)

5.  Click Save  

6.  Now let make sure that file is on your digital media. RIGHT mouse click on the START icon in the bottom left of your screen.
Select Explore  Find the drive were you saved the JPG file.  Make sure you see the file name that you just saved.  This verifies that it was saved on the digital media.  You can double click on the file name and it will open for viewing using your computer's default application for JPG files.

6.  Take the digital media to your photo lab or commercial print store.


HELP WITH ENVELOPES

You will need at least an A6 (4 3/4" X 6 1/2") envelope for a 4x6 invitation. If you want to mount the 4x6 photo on card stock or if you enlarged your print to a 5x7 you will need an A7 (5 1/4" x 7 1/4") or A8 (5 1/2" x 8 1/8") envelope.

The discount stores carry the larger size envelopes, but only in white.(your store might carry different options) Also Kinko's carries quite a few choices in colors. Check the office supply stores and craft stores. Check your yellow pages under Paper Products or Stationary and see if you have printing supply houses that carry colored envelopes. We have Xpedx and they carry every color and size envelopes and cardstock imaginable. They are a national chain; see if you have one near you. Here is a link to check out their locations.

A. PRINT YOURSELF
If you need to make changes to your card you can submit a change fee at this location. click here.

Email your changes to changes@uprintinvitations.com I will fix your party piece and email you a new JPG. The corrected JPG will not appear in your account.
